About the Workshop

This workshop breaks the pre-health journey down into simple, straightforward steps so you can clearly understand what to do now and what comes next. We’ll walk through the major milestones including courses, activities, clinical experience, testing, and application timing, and show how the path can look different depending on your starting point.

You’ll learn how to assess where you are today, set realistic goals, and create a plan that builds momentum over time, whether you’re early in college or starting later. Led by Enrique Jasso, Director of Mappd and long-time pre-health educator, this session focuses on giving you clarity and confidence so you can move forward with less confusion and more direction.

This workshop supports the shared mission of Pre-Health Shadowing and Mappd: to make the pre-health process transparent, equitable, and achievable regardless of your background or experience level.

Featuring: Enrique Jasso Jr. the Director of Product at Mappd, where he leads the creation of tools that help pre-health students navigate the application process with clarity and confidence.

A former Director of the Texas Medical and Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS), he has spent over 15 years impacting tens of thousands of students and shaping the national pre-health admissions landscape, advancing equity, transparency, and informed decision-making for students and the advisors who guide them.

When not building better tools for future health professionals, he’s tending jalapeños and poblanos in his garden under the watchful eyes of his three dogs: Appa, Daisy, and Bumi.

How to participate

The class will become available about 30 minutes prior to the start of the presentation. During this time, you should ensure that you have the Zoom client installed and working.

How to get your Participation Certificate

After the presentation, return to this course to take the post-lecture quiz. The quiz will consist of information that was presented during the session and should not be difficult if you watched the presentation. Once you finish and pass the quiz, mark the course as complete. Your certificate will be available for download as a PDF file upon completion.
