About the Speaker
Dr. Krystal Privette is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Duke University Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. With nearly a decade of clinical anesthesia experience, she specializes in both local and general anesthesia, providing comprehensive perioperative care across diverse patient populations.
Dr. Privette earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duke University School of Nursing and completed her anesthesia training at the Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia. Her clinical expertise is grounded in advanced practice nursing and evidence-based anesthesia care, allowing her to deliver safe, patient-centered outcomes in complex surgical settings.
In addition to her role at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Privette is actively engaged in academic medicine. She serves as Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University and has held adjunct faculty positions at Johns Hopkins University and Duke University School of Nursing. Through her teaching and mentorship, she is committed to preparing the next generation of advanced practice nurses and anesthesia providers.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Privette also contributed to healthcare systems implementation as a Go Live consultant, providing direct clinical support during electronic medical record transitions.
Dr. Privette’s work bridges high-level clinical practice and academic leadership, reflecting her dedication to excellence in anesthesia care, education, and professional development.
