About Pre-Health Shadowing
Pre-Health Shadowing (PHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit redefining how students explore healthcare careers. We connect learners from around the world with free, virtual shadowing sessions and mentorship opportunities—removing barriers like geography, finances, and limited professional networks.

Role Snapshot
- Oversee all HR operations, including volunteer recruitment workflows, application review, and department-level placement
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding, ensuring accounts, trainings, and role expectations are delivered within 48 hours
- Support department leads with performance management, escalation handling, and restructuring when members are inactive
- Maintain a healthy culture by improving communication norms, running HR check-ins, and supporting leadership with retention strategies
- Develop clear processes, documentation, and professional development pathways for volunteers and future leaders across PHS
